You should travel with us because we will make it possible for you to relax and "really discoverand explore" all there is to see in Britain

Our main objective is to keep the tour small, create a friendly and informal atmosphere and to explore the backroads and visit places that the normal coach tours cannot reach. On larger tours, you are often speeding down highways with the tour guide pointing out sites in the distance and you have limited time at all of the stops. We try to let you”really discover” places.

We generally have 2 major visits planned per day but unlike a major tour company, if we want to make additional stops for photographs or to explore a place, we have the flexibility that enables us to do so, where feasible and if the rest of the group is happy to do so.

Because of the relaxed atmosphere, we can stop for tea/coffee, stop to stretch legs or for a rest room at any time. We try not to drive for more than a maximum of 2 hours without stopping.

We try, where possible, to use Guest House and Inn/Pubs that reflect the history and character of the local area. When booking, we look for at least 2 ** and "no smoking" whenever possible. It should be noted that (although changing) smoking laws in America differ to those in Britain. It is NOT ALWAYS possible to find totally non-smoking facilities. The mini-bus will be non-smoking but the flexibility allows sufficient stops for smokers. If you want 5 star luxury or to stay in major hotel chains, our tours are NOT for you.

A full English breakfast (or your choice of cereal, yogurt, fruit etc.) is included , on a daily basis, in the price of the tour. While the larger tour companies include more meals, you are restricted to a group pre-selected menu. We only include one dinner. (no pre-selected menu, get what you want, it's on us) Therefore, you have the freedom to choose your own restaurants and pubs with a menu to suit your palate and pocket.

As flights are not included in our pricing you can choose your favourite carrier, business or economy, or use your air miles. We suggest London Heathrow and all we ask is you arrive at "our selected accommodation" for the first night of the trip.
You may choose to fly in a few days earlier or you may choose to extend your stay by an extra week after the trip. The choices are yours’ and Pioneer Travel will help advise you on your flight preferences.
